Although the world as we know it has changed many Christmas happenings for most people, Turkey Creek Shopping Center still aims to offer holiday cheer and tradition.
Raise the Tree
Christmas 2020 includes a Christmas tree lot in Turkey Creek, called Raise the Tree. This Christmas tradition was born in Knoxville 12 years ago and supports local non-profits. This is the first year Turkey Creek hosted the urban Christmas tree farm.
Raise the Tree provides the perfect place to take family photos under the warm bistro lights and among the soft evergreens and crisp hay. It offers an unforgettable family experience to enjoy roasting s’mores by the firepit and a cup of hot chocolate while you peek through the Fraser Fir woods. It’s a magic and memorable tradition that includes only premium grade fraser firs, wreaths, and garlands.
Raise the Tree has been in the JC Penney parking lot from late November through December 13th. A portion of all proceeds goes to support area non-profits, including The Restoration House, KARM, and True Purpose. Santa even made a COVID-19 style appearance during the event.

WIVK Shopping Spree
Turkey Creek also sponsored a $10,000 Shopping Spree with 107.7 WIVK. The winner, Sandra Cisson, shopped at Ashley Furniture, Walmart, Best Buy, Verizon, PetSmart and JC Penney. This is the third year Turkey Creek has sponsored this giveaway. Cisson had 107 minutes to spend the money and accomplished the feat taking care of all the needs for her family.
